ARSENE: I FEEL SORRY FOR JOSE

- BY DARREN LEWIS

ARSENE WENGER says he feels sorry for Jose Mourinho following Manchester United’s shock Champions League exit. The Arsenal boss, backed during his own troubles by old foe Sir Alex Ferguson, said: “I am supportive to everyone who suffers.

“Our job is to get as few people to suffer as possible.

“I want English football to do well. I work for it – people at our level are most demanding with ourselves.”

Wenger’s Gunners are odds-on to make the Europa League quarter-finals tonight against AC Milan.

But Mourinho is under increasing pressure after United’s home surrender to Sevilla on Tuesday. Wenger added: “The biggest suffering we get is with our demands. For the rest, you get love or not love.

“I do not want to speak about United because my job is to take care of Arsenal. I want English football to do well and the manager to be happy.”
