Corrie Pete’s theatre sale

LATE Coronation Street actor Peter Baldwin’s toy theatre collection is to be sold at auction.

Peter, who played Derek Wilton in the ITV soap, sold them from a shop in London’s Covent Garden.

The star – who died in 2015, aged 82 – was president of the British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild and wrote the book Toy Theatres of the World.

Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbys, expects the sale on April 5 to “generate interest around the world”.
