CHAMPION BUMPER RELEGATE led home a Willie Mullins 1-2-3 to give Ireland’s champion trainer a ninth Weatherbys Champion Bumper triumph.

The Katie Walsh-ridden 25-1 shot overhauled stablemate Carefully Selected by a neck, with Tornado Flyer third.

“I thought she was going to be an also-ran, but the further she went the better she went as her stamina kicked in,” said Mullins, earlier successful with 20-1 chance Bleu Berry in the Coral Cup.

Walsh, (above) registering her third Cheltenham Festival win, smiled: “I was flat to the boards everywhere, but when she met the rising ground she took off.”
