Tragic Becky ‘was scared of abduction’
MURDERED girl Becky Watts had feared she would be abducted, a report has revealed.
Her step-brother Nathan Matthews killed her after plotting to kidnap her.
The probe said a local authority agency was concerned she was being exploited by a “young male peer” threatening to publish “explicit” photos online.
Bristol’s Safeguarding Children Board has found she was seen by 17 experts from eight service providers in the three-and-ahalf years before her death.
But the report said there was no evidence the killing could have been predicted by the professionals.
Becky, 16, was killed in 2015. Matthews was found guilty of murder and his partner Shauna Hoare was convicted of manslaughter.
