Brexit blamed for giant’s decision to scrap its UK HQ
The boss of oil giant Shell raked in nearly £8million in pay and perks last year.
Chief executive Ben Van Beurden’s package leapt by almost £800,000 thanks to a 2.5% pay rise and a bigger annual bonus.
The fatcat was rewarded for Royal Dutch Shell’s annual profits more than tripling to £8.5billion.
Last year’s haul took the amount Van Beurden has earned since 2014 to a whopping £47m.
