Brits enjoy spying on the neighbours
BRITS are fascinated by the comings and goings of their neighbours, a study reveals.
Some 33% of those quizzed nationwide admitted to regular curtain twitching, 27% said they turn the TV down to listen to rows through the wall and 15% peep over the garden fence.
And some take neighbours’ children to school just to get the gossip and others peer through letterboxes.
Cardiff has the nosiest neighbours with Norwich second and Nottingham third, the poll found.
Anglian Home Improvements, which commissioned it, said: “Although it may seem annoying, having neighbours who know your movements can be a blessing when it comes to home security.”
