Jack has drop on all his rivals
PAUL LAMBERT reckons Stoke’s relegation fight has given Jack Butland the experience he needs to sail through a World Cup.
Butland and Everton keeper Jordan Pickford, both named in Gareth Southgate’s squad yesterday, will be in opposing goals at the bet365 Stadium tomorrow.
Stoke boss Lambert said: “Jack must be in the running for England... he’s already playing in pressure games. I’ve been asked if he could handle a tournament as big as the World Cup but I’ve got no doubt with his temperament he’ll sail through it.”
