LIVERPOOL v CITY FACTS

-

THIS is the first meeting between two English sides in the Champions League quarter-final since 2010/11 (Chelsea v Manchester United). MANCHESTER CITY will be the seventh different English side that Liverpool have faced in European competition (following Leeds, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd). LIVERPOOL have lost just one of their last 30 home matches against Manchester City in all competitions (W20 D9) and are unbeaten in each of the last 16. THE Reds have won just three of their last 12 Champions League matches against English teams (D6 L3) and have been eliminated in each the last two knockout ties versus English teams (Chelsea in 2007-08 and 2008-09). THERE have been 12 goals scored in the two meetings between Liverpool and Man City this season. JURGEN KLOPP (left) has beaten Pep Guardiola on five different occasions in all competitions; more than any other manager. GUARDIOLA (right) has never lost a Champions League quarter-final tie, progressing in all seven, including two against English opponents in 2010/11 (Arsenal) and 2013/14 (Manchester United).
