Vincent quits Walford after 3 years
EASTENDERS’ Richard Blackwood is leaving after three years.
His character Vincent Hubbard flees Walford after threats and being forced to sell his bar.
He makes a dramatic return but goes for good next month.
Show bosses said the decision was “completely mutual” as Blackwood, 45, wanted to “explore other opportunities”. An EastEnders spokesman said: “Richard has been a great addition to the show.” Blackwood said: “I’ve loved every minute at EastEnders and although I’ll be sad to say goodbye, after three years it feels the right time to leave. “With my last story I knew it was time for Vincent to depart Walford. I have a feature film out this year, I will be returning to theatre and also some great presenting TV gigs.”
