Crolla plots a Ram raid

ANTHONY CROLLA fights Edson Ramirez in Cardiff on March 31 as he bids to become a two-time lightweight world champion.

Crolla, 31, will fight Mexican Ramirez on the undercard of Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker, and said: “Eddie Hearn and I have a plan to get back to world titles and Cardiff is the first fight in that plan.”

Liam Smith will fight Sadam Ali for the WBO lightmiddleweight title in Verona, New York State on May 12.

Smith, 29, from Liverpool, lost the title to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in 2016, but responded with three successive victories.
