Labour’s loss for new boss
SIX senior Labour HQ staff announced they are quitting ahead of the appointment of the party’s new General Secretary today.
Jennie Formby, a Unite union regional secretary backed by Jeremy Corbyn, is expected to replace Iain McNicol in the job.
Labour downplayed the resignations, insisting that some staff turnover with an incoming General Secretary is normal.
A party spokesman added: “We don’t comment on staffing matters.”
