12lb steak is a blowout £179

A RESTAURANT is serving a steak that weighs 12lb 8oz (5.7kg) and costs £179.

Any group finishing the feast for four in under an hour can have it for free.

But so far only two sets of challengers out of 10 have cleared their plates.

The meal at Cattlemans Steakhouse at Paignton, Devon, is served with chips, onion rings, mushrooms, tomatoes, coleslaw and garlic bread.

Staff said: “Challenges seem all the rage and we wanted a bit of fun.”
