Rabbit goes full pelt with jokes

Something properly funny, however, is the new Peter Rabbit movie.

I took two of the children and their friends at the weekend and although a lot of the gags seemed to go over their heads, they loved it.

The scene where Mr McGregor is pelted with blackberries which he is allergic to has caused a whole lot of furore with the film makers being forced to apologise.

And although the whole #boycottpeterrabbit movement seemed totally barmy to me, the moment where a stricken Mr McGregor has to save his own life by injecting an EpiPen did seem more than a little insensitive.

Still, (spoiler alert) the sight of Peter’s dad being served up in a pie can’t have been great for rabbits in the audience either.
