Players fluffed 28 straight attempts to score in drill!
Get well soon Harry - please!
ENGLAND’S strikers drew a blank in training – after failing to score in TWENTY-EIGHT attempts.
Gareth Southgate put his players through a drill in training at St George’s Park in front of invited guests, including RAF heroes.
But they watched them miss the target – from crossing and shooting drills – as the forwards looked goal-shy without injured Tottenham hotshot Harry Kane.
Southgate is likely to use Danny Welbeck (left), Jamie Vardy and
Marcus Rashford in the forthcoming friendlies.
England’s striker coach Allan Russell oversaw the session, but drew a blank.
Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand sat out training with a back problem and pulled out of the squad.
He also invited Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nathaniel Chalobah, of Watford, to the St George’s Park training sessions.
