Your recent piece “E-cigs link to liver disease” (Mirror, March 19) reports research involving exposing mice to high levels of nicotine. This would have caused suffering to the mice and the results can’t be translated to people.

Mice are not miniature humans, so researcher­s should stop hurting and killing innocent animals and concentrat­e on nonanimal based research. Perhaps from now on the BBC will depict Cameron and Johnson wearing Russian hats against a red Kremlin as they did with Jeremy Corbyn last week.
