Poor Higgins is hit for six
BRITISH No.1 Kyle Edmund will make his home debut as the country’s top player at the FeverTree Championships at Queen’s Club in June.
Edmund (above), 23, joins Andy Murray and three of the world’s top four – Rafael Nadal, Marin Cilic and Grigor Dimitrov – at the tournament. JOHN HIGGINS suffered a crushing whitewash defeat at the hands of fellow Scot Anthony McGill.
The four-time world champion and No.5 lost 6-0 in the first round of the Players Championship in Llandudno.
THE 20 teams chosen to race in this May’s Tour de Yorkshire will be headlined by Mark Cavendish’s Team Dimension Data and Team Sky.
Cavendish (above) will compete in the four-day men’s race, starting on May 3 and finishing in Leeds on May 6.
