Keep Dali in UK for £850k
A SALVADOR Dali white lobster telephone could be leaving the UK unless a buyer comes forward to pay the £850,000 price tag.
A temporary export ban has been placed on the 1938 work, owned by an unnamed private collector.
Arts Minister Michael Ellis said the “iconic work” was UK-made, adding: “I want it to remain here.”
Eleven phones were commissioned by English poet Edward James, with seven in white.
