The Beast from the East has hit sales at trendy fashion firm Ted Baker.

Bosses said bad weather across Europe and the east coast of the US dented demand for its spring ranges.

The firm’s share price slumped 13% as it warned trading would “remain challenging”.

A 12.3% rise in profits to £68.8million in the year to January 27 fell short of City forecasts.
