COLEMAN: I HOLD NO GRUDGES

-

Turkey Rep of Ireland 5.30pm

SEAMUS COLEMAN claims there is no point holding a grudge against Neil Taylor on his Republic of Ireland return.

Wales defender Taylor broke Coleman’s leg in two places during a World Cup qualifier in Dublin a year ago.

But, having returned for Everton seven weeks ago, Coleman will lead the Irish out this evening against Turkey.

“I haven’t even thought of Neil Taylor five times since the injury,” said Coleman (above). “I was going for the ball, he was a bit high, but these things happen in a tough international fixture.

“If I hold any grudge or anger against him, it’s not going to help me.”
