Beatle’s Honour really bugs me

Some people think Honours ratify an individual’s position as a person of great importance. I think it exposes them as selfimportant.

Rather than thinking Ringo Starr – who accepted a knighthood on Tuesday – is now a proper, rubberstamped VIP following his bestowal, I think he already was in most people’s eyes, but now is just a sell-out.
