Loved-up Riley wants IVF at 41 after losing 12st
LISA Riley is planning IVF treatment in her attempt to have her first baby at the age of 41.
The ex-Emmerdale actress said losing 12st and being in love “for the first time” had contributed to her wanting to become a mother.
And she credited Strictly Come Dancing with helping her through “the worst time of my life”.
She said: “When I went in to have surgery to remove the loose flesh after I lost all my weight, the first thing that came into my head was, ‘Can I still have kids after surgery?’
“I was worried that because my skin had been cut, it would no longer stretch. I’ve decided not to live in fear. I want to have IVF but I’m not going to put myself through a lot of stress if it doesn’t work.
“I’m in love for the first time and he would like to have a baby if we can.” Lisa, who played Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle, is dating a musician named Al. “If we were to have a child, that would be wonderful,” she said.
Lisa credits competing in Strictly in 2012 for changing her life.
“I went in there this big fat girl and I refused to be the comedy turn,” she told You magazine.
