MPs to probe ‘dirty money’

QUESTIONS Tom Tugendhat A NEW probe into Russian money-laundering in Britain is to be launched by MPs.

Theresa May has vowed to consider freezing Russian assets if they are used to threaten Britons.

The powerful Foreign Affairs Committee will now explore ways to fight back.

Chairman Tom Tugendhat said: “We need to work together to combat the influence of this corrupt regime. Hitting where it hurts most means their pockets.”

Separately, Russian oligarchs suspected of corruption will be forced to explain how they acquired their lavish lifestyles in the UK.
