JO KONTA continued her return to form with a 6-2 6-1 rout of Belgian 22-year-old Elise Mertens to reach the fourth round of the Miami Open.

Konta (right) won the title in Miami last year, a triumph that paved the way for a march into the world’s top 10.

But the Brit faces a slide back down the rankings if she fails to repeat the feat.
