Space return to be a blast
A CHINESE space station due to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere this weekend will turn into a spectacular fireball, experts predict.
The 8.5-tonne Tiangong-1, known as Heavenly Palace, was launched in 2011 and is meant to ditch in the South Pacific, but China is rumoured to have lost control of it.
However, University of Sydney engineer Warwick Holmes said there was “a greater probability of getting hit by a car” than by its debris. He said: “It’s not going to happen.”
