100th cards are getting old, Ma’am
BRITAIN’S oldest man has told the Queen he does not want any more cards as he turns 110 this week.
Robert Weighton said he has had too many of them and his birthday this Wednesday “it is just another day for me”.
He added: “I celebrate all days the same now.”
Robert likes the picture of the Queen smiling on the last card he received, on his 107th birthday.
He said he “wants to remember her by that”, but will relent if another monarch takes the throne.
Robert, of Alton, Hants, who has 25 great-grandchildren, still lives alone and walks to the supermarket a twice a week.
He also gives talks to schools and clubs “about my life and what it was like during the war”.
