Mirror honour for parents of blast victims Chloe and Liam
THE parents of two Manchester bomb victims will be honoured tonight for helping young people achieve dreams.
Sweethearts Chloe Rutherford, 17, and Liam Curry, 19, of South Shields, South Tyneside died in the blast.
Chloe’s parents Mark and Lisa, and Liam’s mum Caroline, launched the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust which has raised almost £60,000 to help aspiring performers and sports stars. They will get a Special Recognition prize at our Pride of the North East Awards. Lisa, 46, said: “We feel the kids would be proud.” The event, in partnership with TSB, celebrates the region’s unsung heroes. Winners go to the judging process for the Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards, screened on ITV.
