Crook admits killing 2 boys in hit-and-run
A BANNED driver has admitted killing two young brothers in a hit-and-run less than a week after he was freed from prison.
Career criminal Robert Brown, 53, sped into Corey Platt-May, six, and Casper, two, as they crossed the road with mum Louise.
The boys’ two brothers saw the crash in Coventry. Brown admitted causing death by dangerous driving at Warwick crown court.
He will be sentenced next month.
Det Sgt Paul Hughes, of West Midlands Police, said: “These were two young boys with their whole lives ahead of them, taken away by the actions of one man.”
Richard Frost, 39, who killed two pedestrians after a cocaine binge, was jailed for 14 years at Cambridge crown court.
