I’d like to comment on the letter from the woman whose new husband has told her he never wants kids, even though she’s desperate for a family (Dear Coleen, March 23).

As sad as it is, I think it’s too big an issue for them to overcome. It was the reason I broke up with my boyfriend who was 12 years older. And, although it broke my heart at the time, I’ve since married and had two children, and I can’t imagine my life without them.

They were what I was missing in my life and I’m glad I made the decision to leave my ex before it was too late. Em, via email
