Thorman’s shot at Giants’ post
CARETAKER boss Chris Thorman, the first Geordie head coach in Super League history, has been urged to press for the Huddersfield job on a permanent basis after the sacking of Rick Stone.
Aussie Stone paid the price for a sluggish start to the campaign that sees the Giants second-bottom with just two wins from seven games.
Assistant Thorman has been placed in temporary charge. Managing director Richard Thewlis said: “Chris understands this is an opportunity for him to put himself forward.”
