Stars strip to save lives

-

INSPIRED by the iconic 90s movie in which six steelworkers whipped off their clothes, a group of celebrities last year re-enacted the famous striptease to raise awareness of men’s cancers.

It was a massive hit, and now a fresh set of brave stars will dare to bare all for another full frontal extravaganza – this time live from Sheffield, home to the original Full Monty.

As before, Alexander Armstrong is at the helm, with the help of Ashley Banjo to choreograph the routine.

Alexander famously kicked off last year’s show by having his own testicles checked by Dr Chris Steele live on ITV’s This Morning, to demonstrate the importance of men overcoming their inhibitions. The lads taking part this year are TOWIE star James “Arg” Argent, presenter Jeff Brazier, The Wanted’s Tom Parker, EastEnders’ actor John Partridge, ex-Arsenal footballer John Hartson, chef Ainsley Harriott and retired England rugby international Ugo Monye.

As Ashley and Alexander get to work, asking the men to dance for them then take their clothes off, there are hilarious scenes.

John looks like he’s staggering about drunk in a pub as he “dances” to Wild Thing. Arg doesn’t even want to take his socks off because he hasn’t had a pedicure.

And there’s carnage as they practise moves like the knee slide, the Romford bowl and the Full Monty thrust.

But while there’s plenty to laugh about, there’s a serious message too.

And you might find yourself getting choked up as the men explain their personal reasons for being there.
