SPIT’S IRE
Brit bike builder CCM will be showing its cool Spitfire at the London Motor Show – but it might have aviation nuts spitting blood.
It uses a 600cc single-cylinder engine and a hand-built steel frame that apparently uses the same grade of steel as seen in the Supermarine Spitfire’s fuselage.
Except that the Second World War fighter plane’s fuselage was made of aluminium alloy.
Anyway, the £7,995 bike is a cool piece of kit. Tickets for the show at the ExCel centre on May 17-20 are on sale now from £18.50. Details at thelondonmotorshow.co.uk.
