Murray: I’m on way back

-

ANDY MURRAY has returned to the courts for the first time since having hip surgery in January.

The former world No.1 has not played a competitive match after being knocked out of Wimbledon last July.

The continuing problem forced the Brit to pull out of the Australian Open at the start of this year.

He also missed last season’s US Open.

Murray, 30, posted pictures on Instagram (above) practising against 17-year-old fellow Scot Aidan McHugh, saying he was making “progress”.

Three-time Grand Slam winner Murray has fallen to No.29 in the world and has been overtaken by Kyle Edmund as Britain’s No.1 in his absence.
