Beaster holiday

Cold rain, frost, snow ahead

- BY VICKY SMITH vicky.smith@mirror.co.uk

A WEEKEND washout is on the way for the Easter holiday, say forecasters.

Chilly rain will sweep in today and a frost is predicted on Sunday.

There could even be snow in the North on Monday.

Wild weather will cause jams for the 26 million hitting the roads over the next four days.

Met Office forecaster Alex Deakin said: “There will be some sunshine around, but overall rain is never too far away.” Traffic hotspots include the M25 between Gatwick Airport and the M1, the M3 southwest of London, the A303 at Stonehenge, the M55 from Preston to Blackpool, and the M53 between Liverpool and Chester, said the RAC. Rail services will also be disrupted. The good news is there will be more sun next week – as most return to work.
