Meditation to halt dementia
MEDITATION may protect against Alzheimer’s disease, a study found.
Frequent sessions over a period of many years boosted brain power, especially among the elderly.
Dr Anthony Zanesco, of the University of Miami, said: “Intensive and continued meditation practice is associated with enduring improvements in sustained attention and response inhibition.”
The study questioned the effectiveness of shortterm meditation programs.
