Far Cry 5

£49.99, Xbox One, PS4, PC

-

Far Cry, the first-person open world shooters from Ubisoft, have provided some memorable villains over the years and number 5 is no exception.

Father Joseph Seed is a psychotic, charismatic cult leader gradually establishing his own army in a small part of the backwaters of Montana known as Hope County.

Far Cry 5 drops you into a tense opening scene that serves to set you up with the campaign. Which basically has you out in the wilderness slowly amassing skills, weaponry and sidekicks to allow you to take down Seed, his siblings and his legion of hillbilly followers.

All told, while Far Cry 5 probably doesn’t quite top Far Cry 3 as the best in series, it’s certainly better than Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal. The gameplay is as rock solid as ever and the Montana setting is a bold and amazing open-world creation.
