‘WE SWANT SAFETY’

CHRIS GUNTER hopes new Reading boss Paul Clement can inspire them to safety.

Clement takes charge of his first Royals game today after one win in 18 league matches under fired Jaap Stam left them in danger of the drop. But Clement kept Swansea up last season with 13 points from 15 in their final five games before being axed in December.

Reading skipper Gunter said: “We have a big end of the season now. I have heard very good things from people who have worked with Paul. What he did with Swansea last year is what we need now.”
