Toon of promise

RAFA BENITEZ insists Newcastle have given a taste of their Premier League potential.

The Toon manager says he got a feel for what the club can become when they beat Manchester United and Southampton in their last two home games.

“Everything around that Man United game was what you were expecting from this club in the Premier League,” said Benitez.

“There were a lot of positives and that is what you’re looking for. It’s something I think we can replicate week in, week out. We can do it, if we can stay in the Premier League.”

Newcastle are at home tomorrow to Huddersfield, also battling for survival.
