ROY WANTS FORMER REDS TO KOP CHEERS
ROY HODGSON wants Liverpool old boys Christian Benteke and Mamadou Sakho to lead the cheers today.
Defender Sakho, who was bombed out by Jurgen Klopp, will face the Reds for the first time since his summer move to Crystal Palace.
But on-loan Sakho still left the bench to join striker Benteke in an extravagant handshake celebration (left) when the Belgium star scored the first of two Eagles goals at Anfield in April.
Hodgson, a former Kop boss, said: “I’d like to see Christian score again. You like to think players give a bit extra against old clubs. I’ve been on the wrong end of that.”
