Co-op cloudy bottle ‘pride’

THE Co-op is to sell its water in 50% recycled plastic bottles that will look cloudy and grey.

The chain said the colour of the own-brand bottles, which are 100% recyclable, would be a “badge of honour”.

The move will save an estimated 350 tons of plastic every year.

Boss Iain Ferguson said they were “proud” of their role in recycling, adding: “Our bottles will wear this greyish colour which I see as a badge of honour.”
