‘Parent firms must pay up’

-

FIVE million workers risk missing out on basic rights because they work for outsourced companies.

The TUC is urging the Government to give them rights to challenge parent employers on holiday pay and the minimum wage.

Staff affected work for outsourced firms, franchises and recruitment and umbrella companies.

TUC chief Frances O’Grady said: “Laws need beefing up. Employers have a duty of care to workers in supply chains.”
