RAIN HITS HOLIDAY CARDS

-

RAIN is threatening to wash away Britain’s Easter Monday programme.

Two of this afternoon’s six turf meetings – Huntingdon and Redcar – have fallen to the wet weather, with a further three having to pass morning inspections.

Officials will check the surface at Chepstow (7.30am), Fakenham (7am) and Plumpton (8am) – with only Market Rasen’s seven-race fixture escaping the elements.

Tomorrow’s jumps card at Wincanton fell to waterlogging yesterday, while Pontefract’s Tuesday Flat card hinges on a 9am inspection today.
