Moore set for Mendelssohn

-

TOM LACEY continued his red-hot form when saddling Vado Forte to victory in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton yesterday.

The five-year-old’s half-length victory under Robbie Dunne was Lacey’s six winner from eight runners over the past 11 days.

PADDY POWER reckon Ryan Moore will choose to ride Mendelssohn for Aidan O’Brien in the Kentucky Derby on May 5 in preference to Saxon Warrior in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket.

“We’re 4-6 Churchill Downs and 11-10 Newmarket,” said the Dublin firm’s Paul Binfield.

“All bets are off if Ryan brings Concorde back into service and rides at both!”
