Edward’s son, 10, ‘drove’ 4x4 at Windsor
PRINCE Edward’s 10-year-old son was pictured behind the wheel of a Land Rover yesterday.
James, known as Viscount Severn, was sitting on someone’s knee during a spin around Windsor Castle. As it was on private land rather than a public road, no licence was needed.
But a spokesman for the AA said that while no offence had been committed “we wouldn’t want to encourage this kind of behaviour”. He added insurers would not pay out for an accident on private land if the car was driven by a minor.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment but a source said James was “supervised by an adult and on private land”. James was with his parents and sister Louise, 14, as they spent the Easter weekend with the Queen.
