10m workers admit doing nightie shifts
TEN million people do their jobs from their beds for an average of five hours at least once a week, research has revealed.
Employees aged 25 to 34 were most likely to work this way, with 21% admitting they did so every day.
The study, commissioned by Co-op Beds, also found people watch TV in bed for 15 hours a week.
They also spend seven hours reading, six hours online or on social media and four hours doing online shopping.
James Holland, managing director of Co-op Beds, said: “It is widely believed we spend a third of our lives in bed, but this research suggests that could be a lot higher.
“Altogether, 42 hours a week are spent in bed not sleeping.”
