A finalist on ITV’s The Voice was told her family’s farm had been robbed an hour before she took to the stage on Saturday.

Emily Burnett, 25, of duo Belle Voci, made it to next week’s live final despite the shock of being told 35 of her sheep had been stolen.

Mum Sarah Burnett said: “I didn’t want Emily to know. But she found out and an hour before she was going on, she rang me up asking what had happened, saying the sheep were more important than her performance!”
