Zlat’s how to impress MLS

-

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC didn’t conquer England in three months, as he claims. He did well for his age and he did well for Manchester United at a time when they needed him.

But the 36-year-old could well be the man to conquer the MLS and take the US league to the next level. I know from speaking to people over there that they are getting a bit fed up of big names from the Premier League arriving and not exactly pulling up trees.

You could argue that David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard all took their England form to the States rather than their club form from their prime.

Robbie Keane was the one who moved to the US as a less-heralded name but he took it seriously and was very much appreciated.

And having seen Zlatan’s first two goals for LA Galaxy on his debut, the striker (celebrating above) could well have the stardust the whole league is looking for.
