British family of four die in horror Florida crash

FOUR members of a British family were killed in a crash after visiting Florida’s Kennedy Space Center for a rocket launch.

Adam Stephenson, 30, is thought to have been following satnav instructions to do a U-turn as he drove wife Maryanne, 29, and his mum and dad back from the trip.

Parents Bryan, 59, and Sheralyn, 56, were in the back of the Mitsubishi when it was hit by an oncoming Ford pickup truck. His brother, on holiday with them, learned of the tragedy after calling police when the family from Yate, Bristol, did not return.

Pickup driver James Walsh, 28, suffered minor injuries. He told police he could “do nothing” to avoid hitting them. Maryanne’s mother, Nanette Drake, said: “It’s a shock.”
