Sevilla 1 Bayern Munich 2 Q-final 1st leg

FRANCK RIBERY made a goal in each half as Munich came from behind with the help of two deflections to take a first-leg lead back to Germany.

Sevilla went ahead after 32 minutes, with a touch of fortune, when Pablo Sarabia met a cross in the box which he brought down with his chest – and possibly his left arm – before smashing past Sven Ulreich.

But the lead lasted just five minutes before Munich’s luck changed. Ribery’s cross from the left was tame and going nowhere until it took a big deflection off Jesus Navas’ heel to beat David Soria, who juggled it on the line but couldn’t hold it.

Ribery (above) was involved again as the Germans went in front on 68 minutes when he crossed for Thiago Alcantara to head home with the help of a deflection off Sergio Escudero.
