History is beckoning for boss

“I am sure everything will be prepared for a classic atmosphere.”

Liverpool have been champions of Europe five times, while it remains the ultimate prize for City.

But he reckons the Blues have been consistent­ly brilliant this season, and rates them more highly than Barcelona.

Klopp admitted: “City are the best team in Europe at the moment... and so that makes it quite difficult for us! What they do, they do at the highest level.”

City’s hopes have been dealt a major blow as striker Sergio Aguero is out with a knee injury, while Liverpool defender Joel Matip (top) has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
