Take a swipe at the tablet kids

-

Four-year-old children are apparently trying to ‘swipe left’ when faced with books at school.

Teachers say kids used to playing with tablets and smartphones since their earliest days are now unable to even hold a story book or pencil.

To be honest I think some of this is from the same school of thought which prophesied to us 1970s kids that ‘watching too much telly will make your eyes go square’.

And parents being unable or unwilling to play or read with their children is nothing new.

But seeing toddlers being pushed around in buggies, with their eyes glued to a screen, is.

It might give those parents a quieter life now, but I can guarantee when those junior screen junkies grow up, it’ll prove quite the opposite.
